3G Photo Gallery Autumn 2021-22
Class 3G thoroughly enjoyed Halloween week. We created our own sensory bags and Halloween slime. Throughout the week, we engaged in a number of creative art activities and enjoyed getting messy, especially when using Halloween jelly! We planned Halloween treats for another class group’s Halloween party and enjoyed delivering them. We even role played trick or treat!
Maths – Number
Throughout this first half term in Maths, we have focussed on ‘number’. We have used a range of different activities to support our learning and development on number, including interactive games, sensory activities and practical resources. We have learnt how to recognise numbers, order them and even start to match quantities.
Food Technology / SCERTS – Healthy Snacks
This half term, we have focused on creating a range of different healthy snacks. We have worked on planning out instructions, preparing our cooking area, finding the correct resources and sharing with our peers. We have also been developing our communication between each other throughout these lessons.
PE / SCERTS – Movement
During this first half term of the school year, we have been learning how to copy different movements. We then used these movements together to make sequences and also used movements along equipment. Throughout the term we have focused on preparing ourselves for PE, including bringing our PE kits to school and dressing and undressing ourselves independently.
Class 3G have been exploring forces and magnets as part of our science day this term.
We looked at what a magnet is and how we can use it. We tested magnets on different materials and objects to find which were magnetic.
During our ‘forces’ lesson, we looked at how balloons create a force using the air inside them. We all enjoyed balloon racing! Our last science session focussed on floating and sinking. We gathered various objects and created a floating and sinking test.
