National Science Week

11th March 2019

Green Lane School have loved being part of National Science Week! EYFS, KS1, KS2 and some pupils in KS3 were amazed by the animal workshops delivered by Wild Science! Pupils enjoyed meeting and handling several animals including a snake, toad and giant snail (I’m not sure the staff we as keen!) Pupils remained class based and followed a sequence of lessons taught daily throughout the week such as ‘floating and sinking’, ‘Our World’, ‘the land before time’ and ‘animal survival’. KS3 and KS4 focused on developing their scientific enquiry. Pupils planned and carried out experiments focusing on the use of scientific language ‘what, how, when and why’?

It was a fantastic week enjoyed by all pupils and staff alike!
