Severe Weather Arrangements

26th February 2018
As you will be aware, we are expecting some severe weather this week.  In the case of a significant fall of snow (four inches or above) which would make car parking, playgrounds and walkways unsafe, we may have to close school for the day.  I will let parents know of any such decision by 7-30am of a morning via ParentMail, the school website and announcements on WireFM.  We will carry out a risk assessment early in the morning and inform parents, staff and transport of our decision.  Wherever possible school will be open but we do have to be aware of not only getting the children into school but keeping them safe when they are here and also being able to get them home again safely at the end of the day.  Please bear with us and hopefully school will remain open over the next week.
