Welcome to Q 3

Welcome to Class Q3

Class Teacher: Miss Delaney

Teaching Assistants: Miss Barker and Ms Greaves

A very warm welcome to Q3 from myself Miss Delaney, Miss Barker and Ms Greaves are thoroughly looking forward to all of the exciting things that Key Stage 4 offers.

Student planners are the easiest way to communicate and will be checked each morning, however please contact us via telephone if you would prefer to talk. The best time to reach me is in a morning before pupils arrive. Pupils complete the 'week ahead' information on a Monday morning to share what is happening in class with you at home.

PE will take place every Tuesday afternoon. Please ensure pupils arrive at school in a full PE kit.

Pupils are welcome to bring a water bottle, this will be sent home daily. Fresh water and sugar free juice will be available in class throughout the day.

Pupils do not need to bring pencil cases as every pupil has been provided with a personal stationary bag.

Reading books will be sent home in line with phonics assessments. We encourage parents to read as often as possible and record this in pupils reading record. These should be sent into school daily. Please include any books that your child enjoys reading at home as we are always keen to expand our class collection!

Spellings will be sent home on a Monday. Pupils will have a spelling test every Friday. Although they will have the opportunity to practice these in class additional practice at home is beneficial.

Homework will be sent home every Friday. This will alternate English/Maths however on occasion may include both. Please ensure that pupils return their completed homework on a Monday.

Toast and cold drinks are available each morning. This is not funded by school therefore contributions of £1 per week will be greatly received. Please let me know if your child has any dietary requirements.

If you have any questions or concerns at any point please don’t hesitate to contact us, we are here to help.
