Autumn 1
Topic
Ladybird class have had a very busy first term of school. We have enjoyed out Topic “Traditional Tales”. As a class we have explored the stories “Little red riding hood” where we walked through the forest, “The Gingerbread Man”, “Jack and the Beanstalk” and “The Three Little Pigs”.
In Literacy we have enjoyed making marks in a range of ways. We have used paint, pencils, pens and our favourite flour.

Maths
In Maths we have been exploring Numbers, shapes and insert jigsaws. We have enjoyed a range of number songs including the “five little ducks”. We also really enjoyed exploring the shape monsters.

Physical Development
During outside play we have practiced different physical development skills such as running, jumping, climbing and having a go at riding a bike.

Music
During Autumn term 2 Ladybird class enjoyed exploring the Topic- Colour. We have explored many different stories such as Brown Bear, Elmer and I can sing a Rainbow. We have accessed a range of activities from making marks in coloured rice and flour, to making our very own Elmer’s.
In Mathematics we have explored matching and finding the same. We have matched numbers, shapes and colours. We especially enjoyed the shape and colour sensory trays.
As a class we practiced crossing a road in our playground. We carefully crossed the road and also pretended to be the cars using our bikes.
