Welcome to Class P4

Welcome to Class P4

We are a Key Stage 3 class of 8 pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9.

The staff are Mrs Van Rooy (teacher), Mrs Stewart (Monday – Wednesday), Mrs Egan (Wednesday- Friday) and Mr Green.

In P4 all of our lessons other than P.E. are taught in our classroom base with Mrs Van Rooy.

Due to Coronavirus we will be providing individual equipment packs and ask that pupils do not bring in pencil cases from home.

We will be having lunch in our own classrooms when we come back in September and break times will be staggered to ensure social distancing.

PE is on a Tuesday afternoon so that is the day that you will need to have your kit.

On Thursday there is a tuck shop and the children are welcome to bring in some money to buy confectionary.

In P4 we normally visit Tesco each week to buy our own snack foods for the week in class. We do this to develop our maths and PSHE skills. We then use what we have bought in class to prepare our own snacks each day. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we will not be able to go out to Tesco in the Autumn term. Instead we are going to have a café set up in class in our table places on a Tuesday morning and will be able to choose our own snacks and help to prepare. We will pay for our own snacks and receive change. Therefore we ask that pupils bring in £1 in each week on a Monday morning towards snack for the week.

Each pupil in P4 is given a home-school book. This is a way of communicating any important messages and information. Feel free to write to use in these books.

Homework is sent out in a weekly basis on a Friday and is expected back in school on a Monday.

We are looking forward to having a fun and exciting year!
