Welcome to P4
Class Team: Miss Rodgers (Class teacher covering maternity for Mrs Van Rooy), Mrs Egan(TA), Mrs Stewart (TA) & Mrs Davies (TA)
In P4 we work towards developing independence skills. We go to ASDA shopping every Thursday morning as part of our PSHE. We ask for £1 snack money to go towards our weekly breakfast and snack, which we buy on our shopping trip. Breakfast and snack are key times where we work on developing social and independence skills.
We will be having PE on Wednesday afternoons, so we ask that PE kit is brought in to school on a Wednesday.
We send a reading book home each week to be read at home, as well as 'weekend news' homework that is used as a part of our English lesson on a Monday morning.
We spend time each day developing our handwriting and fine motor skills through a variety of activities.
Take a look below and see what we've been up to!
World Book Day
P4 enjoyed dressing as their favourite characters for World Book Day. We enjoyed acting out a story and making finger puppets to use in the puppet show!
P4 enjoyed working with an artist to help them with their art project, which will be used in the art gallery in April.
P4 are learning about 'teamwork' and what it means to have team spirit. We have played team games, such as the mat game, and spoken about the values that are needed to be a good team player.
P4 sold Christmas items, handmade by one of our parents, at the sixth form Christmas fair as a part of our class enterprise. The money we made will go towards a special treat for the class in the summer term!
P4 attended two Table Cricket training sessions and a competition event at Old Trafford Cricket ground in November/December 2019. They received coaching from top coaches and competed against different schools.
P4 took part in the vote for the head pupil and deputy head pupil.
P4 have been enjoying developing their basketball skills this term. They have worked on dribbling, passing and shooting.
