Hello and welcome to Buttercup class! 

This year the class teacher will be Miss Blinco covered by Miss Welburn until April 2027. Our teaching assistants will be Ms Bourque, Mrs Glindon and Miss Appleton. 

Buttercup class is a KS1/KS2 class of 9 children from Years 2, 3 and 4. 

PE 

PE lessons will be on a Wednesday morning in the small hall and delivered by the Buttercup class team. Children should wear their PE kit to school on Wednesdays, if possible. 

Homework 

Homework is set every Friday to be handed in the following Friday. Depending on what we have been learning in class, this might be include Maths or English, spellings, Phonics or topic - based work. 

Snack and toast 

Children are given fruit for a snack at break time, but you are welcome to send alternatives. Toast is £2 a week and this is paid via the ParentPay app. Children will also receive a snack of biscuits, breadsticks or crackers in the afternoon.  

Spare clothes 

Could we please ask that parents always ensure that their child has spare clothes to change into – we do lots of sensory, art and outside activities which sometimes means we get messy when having fun! 

Home school books 

Each pupil will have a home-school book so that staff and families can communicate and share information. Photographs of your child playing and working will be available via Evidence for Learning.  

We enjoy learning inside and outside each day. Children will have the opportunity to access Forest School for one half term during the year. These lessons are led by our Forest School Leaders and supported by the class team.
