In Grasshopper we are so lucky that Mr Highman comes into class to teach us Music.
He brings lots of instruments for us to play and he puts exciting things on the Interactive whiteboard for us to use. We like making lots of noise and listening to the songs and different types of music.
This half term Eleanor for Music live came into class to teach us too. She brought a clarinet and we had a go at playing it. We liked playing the Ukulele it was fun.
In Grasshopper we have so much fun during our Attention Autism sessions.
We like the funny toys that Mr Sykes uses at the start. It’s great when Mr Sykes takes things out of his bucket. They help us to focus and engage for longer periods of time.
It’s best when Mr Sykes gets messy and splashes us with the mess he makes. Mrs Beesley and Ms Leigh have to help clear up.
Being in an engagement class is so much fun and it helps us to learn.

In Grasshopper we have PE on a Friday afternoon.
The Warrington Wolves come into school and help us in lessons. This half term we have been learning about Gymnastics. We have been balancing and doing lots of work on getting stronger and fitter.
We think the lessons are fun but we are always tired when we have finished.

IIn Grasshopper we celebrated Roald Dahl Day in style. We listened to songs from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Mr Sykes made us Golden Tickets and let us have fun with all the activities he had made.
He sprinkled Chocolate powder into a tuff tray and we made marks in it with our fingers. He put lots of treats and sweets in the tray for us to try. It was so much fun.
We decorated biscuits using chocolate and sprinkles to make them look how we wanted.
It was hard work but it helped when we got to try all the sweet treats.
We love Willy Wonka.
In Grasshopper we celebrated World Mental Health day for a week.
Mr Sykes chose the story ‘The Colour Monster’. We enjoyed listened to the story and songs. It was funny when Mr Sykes splatted paint all over when we watched him tell the story. We all got covered in paint.
We matched the colour monster toys to pages in the book and matched feeling symbols.
On the day we had a tea party with puppets. We played games and made the puppets happy and sad. Mrs Beesley put lots of coloured feathers on the table and we were able to throw them into the air. It made us happy.
The best part of the day was eating the treats that Mr Sykes brought us. We had very full tummies but we were all happy.
