Buttercup – Summer 2 

Forest School - 

This half term, Buttercup have taken part in Forest school. We have explored the school’s outside areas in all weathers! The rainiest and hottest days have not stopped us having fun and experiencing outdoor learning! Buttercup have jumped in muddy puddles, examined the flowers and leaves with magnifying glasses and explored water play. In the outside area, children have sat sensibly around a camp fire and eaten delicious s’mores. We have so much fun outside! 

MFL –  

In MFL this half term, Buttercup learned all about Spanish music and Flamenco. We listened to flamenco music and watched the dancing. Together we played maracas and tambourines. Buttercup then also practised some of the Flamenco moves. We created Flamenco dresses using cupcake cases to show how patterned and elaborate the dresses are.  

Food Technology -  

For Food Technology this half term, Buttercup class have decorated gingerbread men. First, we watched the story and learned all about what happens to the cheeky gingerbread man! Then we decorated our own using icing, sprinkles and sweets. We then ate them at snack time. They were yummy!
