Green Lane prides themselves with their specialist support for pupils with an autism diagnosis and we are proud to say we hold an advanced accreditation from the NAS. We believe that the key principles of SPELL,TEACCH and SCERTS are the overarching ethos of our school and our staff have recieved training in these key areas. All of our classrooms are autism friendly and we use a wide range of strategies and teaching methods to support our pupils alongside working with a range of professionals including: SALT and OT. The classes in our Elm and Maple pathways are assessed through the SCERTS framework. We have three lead teachers for autism who offer support and outreach to other schools within Warrington. Our autism leadership team offer a wide range of CPD for internal and external professionals, families and the wider community.
