Owl

Welcome to Owl Class

Owl class is a KS4 class compromising of 6 14-16 year old pupils. The staff in class are Mr Garrod (teacher), Miss McLarney (TA), Mr Lyon (1:1 TA), Mr Cartwright (1:1 TA) and Miss O’Leary (1:1 TA).

PE will be taught on a Thursday afternoon. On this day, pupils are asked to wear PE kit of a white t-shirt and dark joggers or shorts depending on the weather and activity. Mrs Fernyhough will be teaching Art on Thursday mornings and Miss Johnston will lead a social/games session on a Friday afternoon.

Owl class will be going on weekly shopping trips to buy their afternoon snacks and cooking ingredients. This is linked to their ASDAN qualification and PSHE. To supplement this, we ask that parents/guardians send in £1 with their child on a Monday in order to buy snacks for the week.

Each pupil in Owl class will be given a home-school book. This is a way of communicating any important messages and/or information. Every pupil will be given a reading book and reading record to take home. We ask for pupils to read twice a week at home. These books are to be brought in to school each day.

We look forward to having a fun and exciting year!
