Daisy is a key stage 2 class on the Elm pathway. We follow and assess against the SCERTS scheme and a topic based SPELL curriculum. We enjoy learning both inside and outside through choose activities, OT circuits and sensory based activities, please ensure your child has a small selection of spare clothes in their bag. Both our classroom and outdoor area is set up linked to our individual needs. Each child will have a home school diary where parents can communicate with the class teacher regarding the children’s day.

Snack

Pupils in daisy class have snack twice a day to support our communication, symbol exchange and SCERTS curriculum. If you would like your child to have class snack, please send £1 per week to cover this, school toast comes at an additional cost of £1.50 per week. Children can bring in their own snacks.

PE

PE will take place on a Friday afternoon, please send in your child’s PE kit and it will be sent home at the end of a half term to be washed unless stated otherwise.

Autumn 1

Daisy class have been enjoying our topic of Polar regions. We have been experimenting with floating and sinking and making igloos. We have also been enjoying exploring autumn in attention autism and Judaism in RE. In maths we have worked hard on our topic of money.
