Other important members of staff for us are: Ms Johnston (English and Maths and Computing)) Miss Taylor (ICT,) Mrs. Bani and MS Barker (Technology.) and Miss Blackley PE

We have a very busy schedule and lots of work to complete before receiving our accreditation (qualifications) at the end of each year.

They are:

Entry Level Certificates in Maths, English, ICT, Art and PE.

Asdan PSD Entry Level Certificate

Asdan Personal Development Program Silver/Gold Award

Asdan Science Short Course

Asdan Food Wise Short Course

Asdan Employability Entry Level Certificate

(ASDAN is an education charity and awarding organisation providing courses, accredited curriculum programmes and regulated national qualifications.)

Although we work hard, we also strive to have fun and make school a really positive place to be!

PE takes place on a Wednesday and pupils should continue to come to school in an appropriate PE kit.

Pupils are welcome to bring a water bottle with them every day – This is recommended.

Pupils do not need to bring their own stationary as everything that they will need is provided.

Thank you in advance for your continued support this year, we all look forward to meeting you in the autumn term

Autumn 1

isited Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral as part of their ASDAN Beliefs and values topic. We are going to use the information we gained to complete an in depth study.

Some of Woodpecker class have also started to undertake work experience at Changing lives in Carrington as part of this we are caring for various animals ranging from horses to kittens. This is a new experience for many students and they are really enjoying the experience and the challenges.

In science we have been investigating structures. We used plant pots to see how tall of a tower we could make and explored if we changed the size of the base could we make a taller tower.
