English

In English this term we celebrated Roald Dahl day by exploring the story of the BFG. We read a part of the story and then we created our own dream jars using paint and labelled using symbols. We have also started our Phonics lessons for the year and have each been working on different Phase 2 sounds through lots of practical games and activities. In our English lessons we have been practicing our mark making skills through lots of sensory activities which will help us with our writing!

Maths

In Maths this half term we have been concentrating on Number particularly counting and matching concrete objects to numbers. Our pictures show us using our finger prints to count to the correct number.

 Topic

In Topic this half term our theme has been ‘All about me’, we focussed on the book ‘This is Me!’ by George Webster. In PSHE and Science we looked at healthy and unhealthy foods, as a part of this we created our own biscuits; we did also try lots of healthy foods too! In PE this half term we have been working on batting and fielding games.
